About the Teacher

Mrs. Marianne Velonis

Hello! My name is Marianne Velonis. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this year. I feel lucky to be able to continue working with many of you, but for those who don't know me, here is a short introduction.

I am a second generation Arizonian. I love our state and feel, regardless of the summer heat, that Arizona is the best place to live. With that being said, I still love to get out of here and travel. My husband Tom and I are always trying to plan our next adventure. I have two adult children, Travis and Tatum. Travis got married last September and his wife, Rachel, is a great addition to our family. Tatum recently made me a grandma, which has been the most amazing experience. She's a terrific Mom and Millie is everything and more. Don't ask me to see any pictures of Millie Layne or I might overwhelm you with them all. My family and their happiness is my greatest motivation. For me, there is nothing more important.

I am looking forward to working closely with both you and your child. I believe in a true partnership between parent, teacher, and student. I have no doubt that we will get along brilliantly.
