In our classroom, we are a family that is kind to ourselves and kind to others. We will learn to always be respectful, responsible, and accountable. We will create our “Class Family Promise,” which will be the foundation of what the expectations are in our classroom. By allowing students to have a part in creating our classroom rules, students will intrinsically follow expectations and help hold each other accountable. I focus on students showing respect, being trustworthy and accountable, and being responsible and safe. The practices in my classroom work to promote positive behavior and language so that everyone can be a "bucket filler". Thank you in advance for your support.
We also celebrate each student in our classroom through a "Star of the Week" program by highlighting all the unique things that make them who they are! This is an opportunity for us to get to know each student in our classroom better and for everyone to showcase all their favorite things.
I am an Arizona native! Although I do enjoy traveling quite a bit to visit family and friends! I enjoy spending time outdoors as much as I do spending time inside, with games, a good book, and movies! I graduated from SDOHS and have been in DVUSD all my life! I graduated from NAU with my Bachelor's in Education. I have been here at Las Brisas teaching 2nd Grade since 2022! I am so excited to get to know your little ones and watch them grow!
