4th graders will be switching classes for the first time this year. Students will need to be on time when switching classes and will be responsible for having all the materials needed for each class.

Hello! My name is Kirsten Kuhns, and I will be the 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher here at Las Brisas. I have been in education for four years now, but, this is my first year in 4th grade and at DVUSD. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Special Education as well as a Master's in Educational Leadership, both from Grand Canyon University. Lopes up! 

I have been married to my husband for three years. We love to travel, read, and be with friends and family, as well as spend time with our goldendoodle puppy, Mushu. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Oregon and moved to Arizona six years ago to attend college, and fell in love with the desert.

I have such a passion for education and believe all students are capable of learning. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel valued, safe, and are excited to come to school each day. I love the relationships that are built with students and families through the gift of learning. I am excited to partner with you this school year.
